The John Butler Trio + and Missy Higgins
Listen to your favourite artists as they take the stage at the “Leeuwin Australia Day Long Weekend Concert” on Sunday 27 January 2019. This outdoor concert is an event you should not miss.
Be enthralled by the music of Missy Higgins as well as The John Butler Trio. Bring a picnic and enjoy this musical treat al fresco. Two of Australia’s most popular artists come together to deliver an unforgettable concert.
John Butler Trio will release their latest album, Home. The concert will showcase their amazing catalog of music as well as some new ones. Missy Higgins, one of Australia’s most treasured artists, will amazed the audience with her haunting vocals and beautiful sound. Head over to Leeuwin Estate and enjoy this incredible concert.
The tour is known as the “Coming Home Tour” as it reunites Missy and the John. They used to perform shows together. The pair won their first ARIA Awards as “Best Male” and “Best Female” artists in 2004 and 2005 respectively and shared their first Rolling Stone cover. John and Missy have performed in benefit gigs together. They are touring again after nearly 15 years.

Shakespeare in the Vines
Composed for eight professional actors from Essential Theatre, Shakespeare in the Vines takes you on an enchanting ride. The Voyager Estate transforms into the magical land of Athens as Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream washes over the audience. Prepare to be enthralled and mesmerised by the performance.
On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves in an enchanted forest where magic and mischief take places. Sprites and fairies play cupid and create a tangled mess of romance. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, a group of actors, Bottom, Quince and their bumbling mates try to mount a play with hilarious results.
The mischievous Puck acts as cupid to disastrous effect. Fantasy, love and dreams entwine in this classic comedy of Shakespeare. The beloved play has been celebrated for years and continues to weave its spell on audiences everywhere.
Voyager Estate is the perfect venue for this enchanting play. Shakespeare in the Vines is a performed in front of the Voyager Estate Cellar Door, where the performers move around the audience in an intimate performance.
Bring a chair and have a picnic. Enjoy dinner on the manicured lawns before or during the performance. Wine and Sparkling Grape Juice will be available at the Voyager Estate Wine Room. You will receive a complimentary wine glass to use at the event and also take home with you.
Mark Wilson is excited to direct the comedy. He is a veteran performer and director. He brings his wealth of experience and keen eye to create a memorable show. Seasoned designer Laura Hawkins helps create the world and bring Athen to Voyager Estate.
This will be the 17 th summer of Shakespeare in the Vines. The tour aims to bring the Bard’s classics to some of Australia’s most picturesque wineries and gardens. The program is bigger and better than ever before. The passionate and creative artists re-interpret the classic texts and bring them to a new generation of theatregoers. They ensure that Shakespeare’s text remains as relevant as ever for modern audiences. The lively and fantastic productions have earned acclaim.

Siobhan has learned from the best. She has been taught by Neil Perry in Sydney and has worked at Martin Boetz’ Longrain restaurant, known for remarkable Thai food. She met Carlo in Italy where he ran his own Tuscan restaurant. The couple returned in 2003 and joined Siobhan’s family business at Wildwood Valley Cottages.
Learn from the Wildwood team as they teach you how to prepare a traditional Thai meal from prep to finish. After working hard and cooking, students get to enjoy a feast. They get to bring home recipes and learn techniques they can apply in their own kitchens.
