Blessed with plenty of safe swimming beaches, lots of rock pools to explore, intriguing caves and a host of sweet treats and delicacies, the Margaret River region is a true natural playground for kids and the young at heart.
Here is just a small selection of the great attractions and activities to look forward to during your next family break at our holiday accommodation Margaret River.
If your trip coincides with spring, you will be lucky enough to see Margaret River’s fields, woods and meadows come alive with beautiful wildflowers in every colour of the rainbow. One of the best free activities we can think of is packing a picnic, heading to the woods and enlisting the kids to help you find wild orchids, kangaroo paws and all kinds of other beautiful flowers you won’t find anywhere else! Book into our dog friendly accommodation Margaret River this spring to see for yourself!
Pay A Visit to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse
It costs just a small token fee to access this striking lighthouse, which is something of an icon of the local skyline. Better still, if you’re visiting during the summer, you might even be lucky enough to witness beautiful humpback whales basking in the surf in Flinder’s Bay below. The lighthouse marks the most south-westerly point in Australia, and is also the ‘official’ start of the famous Cape to Cape coastal walking track, located close to our holiday accommodation Margaret River. Make your way up the winding staircase to the top of the lighthouse to take in stunning vistas over the rugged surrounding countryside.
Drop by The Margaret River Chocolate Company
Chocacholics of all ages can satisfy their sweet tooth at the Margaret River Chocolate Company, located just a short drive from our Margaret River winery accommodation. You can watch chocolate being made up close, and of course, you’ll be invited to sample some of the end product too.
